His Eminence Cardinal Keith Patrick O'Brien and children from St. Ninian's Primary School, Livingston at the Archdiocesan launch of the new syllabus for religious education in Catholic Schools in Scotland, entitled 'This Is Our Faith'. The 'Just Church' Course enables people to reflect on faith and justice from different perspectives and looks at how to integrate action for justice into prayer, worship and daily life.

Patricia Carroll, the Episcopal Delegate for Pastoral Resources has produced booklets for use by catechists for leading effective RCIA sessions. Patricia is available to discuss development of RCIA groups and can offer support to leaders at all stages.

The Cardinal visited the Carmelite Convent at Falkirk and the Carmelite Convent at Dysart in order to say Mass for each community on 31st December.

alt The Cardinal said Mass on the feast of the Holy Innocents at St David's, Dalkeith on 28th December.

The Cardinal received a traditional Ukranian welcome when he attended a Mass to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of Fr Lubomyr Pidluskyj on Monday 19th December.

Cardinal O'Brien, Gordon Wilson and Ann Allen were the speakers outside the Scottish Parliament at the launch of "Scotland for Marriage - One Man + One Woman" on 30th November 2011

Mary's Meals Open Day

An Open Day for the charity Mary's Meals was held in Glasgow's Old Fruit Market on Sunday 30th October. A large audience assembled to hear a variety of speakers and singers.

The new Bishop of Aberdeen, Dom Hugh Gilbert OSB was ordained bishop in the Cathedral of St Mary of the Assumption, Aberdeen on Monday 15^th August, the traditional date for the Feast of the Assumption.
